How to change bypass valve on Western Union Mount profile

The motor on the back driver side caught fire on my 1.8 tornado. I decided to buy the 1.5 marauder w auger. Any opinions? Anyone else who switched from chain to auger? I am staying western because of how well the tornado worked. I call it the fat man spreader, no tarps, open, fill, close, and push the button.

Can this new style be store upright on its end like a tornado ?

We have 2 Tornados at work. Only thing that went so far was a bearing on the spinner shaft. Ours has the plastic spinner housing. I like the new stainless spinner/motor setup. The electric motor is a far cry from the days of the gasser! 🎉

Hi, I have an older (2003) 8' Pro Plow (1 power Plug, 2 plugs for other side) Always garage kept. Had the pump rebuilt last year, hoses replaced and filter/fluid change. Plow lifts & turns immediately after truck is started, although a bit slow. After using it 5-10 minutes, plow has issues lifting (lights on truck dim) and turning left (replaced S3 valve also). have to let truck sit for a bit running, then can get it to lift most of the time (again, very slow to lift). Lights always dim when the solenoids click. Also takes a while to get it to turn left again. I go thru this daily and would really appreciate any help as to what side the issue may be on (plow or truck). I do hear what may be the motor turning when it doesn't lift or turn left (and the clicking of the valve solenoids), but still doesn't work. Thanks for any help.

I'm getting volts in everything except the controller. It's getting none. Any tips?

I do not have power coming from pin "C" for the power to the cab. Does this indicate a bad module?

I think most of us already checked the connections before we took to the interweb. So this was particularly unhelpful. HERE'S WHAT IS HELPFUL: THE BIG PINS ARE SPLIT PINS. GET AN ICEPICK OR A VERY SMALL BLADE SCREWDRIVER AND SPREAD THEM SLIGHTLY. DO IT A LITTLE AT A TIME UNTIL THE LIGHT IS STEADY.

In 2023 I decided to become an indigeious female buisness owner. I took the plunge to purchase myself a Second hand truck, and western v plow. I did this on a compleate leap of faith, and fell in love . Snow and winter became my playground of happiness and a fastly approching passion for snow removal. I serviced both residetial and commerical clients . Soon realizing how small the sector for females in the snow removal industry is. About 24 percent of workers being female while the other large percentage is male based. Upon joining the Landscape Ontario Preappretiship program offered with Loyalist college. I soon realized how passionate I was about my Western V plow. It became one of the highlights of my Tic tok account. Normally I have view breif short views, but I soon realized an Indigious Female Business owner who was showing her equipment was found to be quite interesting. Suddenly one video was sitting at 13.5 thousand views !!! ( vm.tiktok.com/ZMruTuh5w/ ) . This sparked an idea, why dont I make a page for the 2024/2025 season solely in snow removal skills. I would asking if you could stand behind my passion as a female and allow me to promote the useage of you're product. I would love a clothing merch/ sweat shirts or any branded merchandise I can add in my videos to show my dedication to Western. I feel it would be benefical to add more content to not only Facebook, Instagram and Tik toc Videos could include, Attachments / Detaching the unit ( a single female can attach and detach without assitance of a male. Huge independence for females new to industry or product) Lighting Adjustments Connect features and ease of plug in. A remote video for easy function Float function, V function, straight blade , Wing Left , Wing Right. Remote functions. Preformance with / without skid shoes. Removable and appliaction of skid shoes. Why the extra expensive is important for client needs. ( why to use them, when not) I feel all this content would generate quite the following. All my equipment is owned outright and am Indigeious Female Owned newly opperating business as well as student at Loyalist College. I took the plunge to write this email is efforts to ask for a small colberation even in a small way. This idea was sparked by a class conversation that if we could be sponsored by any product or company who would we choose. I choose Western because the offer durable strong products. These products come with years of proven results and ease of access. Althought I am working with a 2022 model, it would be a dream to promote my skills and this product further on social media.

Why would you show the GM and the Ram configured in the v6?? Nobody is plowing with the v6 version.

HOW DO I CHANGE N FILL OIL IN THE PRO SERIES 2?? I CANT FIND ANY CAP OR ANYTHING HOLE TO PUT OIL IN ON THE TOP.

This thing has been an absolute nightmare for me. Bought one of these for my truck to maintain my property and the wiring shorted out before I was even able to use this once. While it may be easy to hook up, it's made very cheap and you spend more time dealing with problems than actually plowing.

My float light comes on when i turn on the controller .

There is another power wire you must hook up or the hydraulic pump will not work. There is a plastic panel on the outside passenger side right below the air filter. Pull off the panel and you will see a stud with red wires connected. There will be another red wire laying in there loose. Connect it to the post with the other positive red wires.Now your pump will work. This should be in the instructions for the plow but it is not.

I put this plow on my 2016 Honda pioneer 1000-5 and it crushed the front end to where it almost drug the ground. It only gets the plow off the ground an in or 2. The fram drags the grond as well as the plow going over speed bumps. I ended up making solid steel struts for the front end and now I have to go through the hastle of taking them off and on all the time witch is a real pain. Does anyone have any better ideas? Thanks

Piece of junk, no feed gate.. can't do a proper broadcast job without a snail trail of sand... Waisting sand & Costing money ... The electrical plug... Junk! Cut it out and bypassed first month of use..cheaped out there, cheaped out with no feed control gate, not happy.. Tornado and striker are twice the spreaders.. don't buy a Marauder! Until they design a feed control gate...

We just bought the 2 yard… something is up with the spread pattern. We have 5 strikers and they are awesome, almost zero material gets in the truck. The marauder is destroying my brand new truck… it’s almost like it is spreading the material backwards. Really disappointed with it. The strikers are amazing we have them in all of our dumps, but we wanted Western quality with an auger for the new pickup we bought. This thing is awesome, except the spread pattern is terrible, regardless which way we turn the deflector, it’s spreads like shit. Very disappointed and I’m a western guy for sure… western said call your dealer, wouldn’t even answer our questions about it. Really disappointing

Love it. I’ve had fishers and snow dogs, and some offbrand poly Plow for clearing pavers. Western Plows are hands-down, the most reliable and easiest to maintain.

the harness for the john deere cab do not come with the plow. There are no instructions to say we need anything different.

The plow connectors have to be plug in to the truck connector in order for the controller to light up ? I have no ponwer coming to the 4 pine controller the plow is not connected to the truck and the lights are not connected any ideas??
